Manually resetting an Epson ink cartridge can help resolve issues such as low ink warnings, even when the cartridge is not empty. To reset the cartridge, first remove it from the printer and turn it over to locate the chip. Using a small, pointed object, such as a paperclip, press the reset button on the chip. Hold the button down for a few seconds until the ink level indicator on the printer screen resets to full. Then, carefully insert the cartridge back into the printer, making sure it clicks into place.
